How can I get started?

To begin, simply reach out to us through our contact form or give us a call to discuss your care needs.

Can the care plans be adjusted?

Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)

· Companionship and emotional support

· Medication assistance

· Domestic cleaning and meal preparation

· Dementia care

· Live-in and overnight care

· Support for individuals with complex needs

· Healthcare assistants and registered nurses for clinical support

Is there a minimum number of hours per week?

This depends on your location and care needs, but we usually recommend a minimum of 1 hour per visit, with flexible packages from a few hours a week to full-time or live-in care.

Do you accept direct payments or local authority funding?

Yes, we work with:

· Private clients

· Local authority-funded clients

· Direct payment and personal budget holders

We’ll help you navigate your funding options and invoicing.

Do you offer emergency or short-notice care?

Yes, where staffing allows. If you need urgent support (e.g. hospital discharge), please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist as quickly as possible.

What types of healthcare staff does S&C Care offer?

We provide a wide range of healthcare staff including:

  • Registered Nurses (RGN/RMN)

  • Healthcare Assistants (HCAs)

  • Support Workers

  • Live-in Carers

  • Senior Carers

  • Locum roles (for allied health and nursing professionals)

We work with care homes, nursing homes, private clients, and healthcare facilities across the UK,

Do you provide training or help with compliance?

Yes! If you’re missing mandatory training (e.g. moving & handling, safeguarding), we can refer you to accredited training providers or arrange it internally.

 

We also support you through the DBS process and help you stay compliant with UK healthcare regulations

 How often will I get paid?

We offer two weekly or monthly payments, subject to receiving your signed timesheet on time. 

What support do you offer after placement?

We stay in touch regularly to make sure you’re happy in your role. If there are any issues or if you’d like to change placements, our consultants are here to support you.

Do you sponsor overseas candidates?

At this time, we do/do not offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates. However, if you already have the right to work in the UK, we welcome your application

Are the services customizable?

Absolutely, our services are tailored to accommodate your unique preferences and requirements, ensuring that you receive the care that best suits you.

What if I have specific preferences or requirements?

Yes. All our care staff are:

· Fully trained and vetted

· DBS-checked (Enhanced)

· Trained in safeguarding, moving & handling, infection control, and more

· Continuously supported with refresher training and supervision

Can I choose the time of my care visits?

Yes! We tailor your care plan around your daily routine. Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight slots are available, including weekends and bank holidays.

What areas do you cover?

We currently provide care services in  London borough of Hackney, London borough of Hillingdon and London borough of Ealing. Please contact us to confirm availability in your area.

How do I register with S&C Care?

How do I get shifts or assignments?

Once registered and fully compliant:

 

  • We’ll match you with suitable shifts or long-term placements.

  • You can let us know your availability weekly.

  • You may also receive SMS or email shift alerts depending on your preferences.

What if I don’t have a DBS?

No problem. We can help you apply for an Enhanced DBS check. The cost may be deducted from your first few payments, or paid upfront depending on your situation.

How do I submit my timesheets?

You can:

  • Upload them via our portal

  • Email them to christelle@sccare.uk

  • Hand-deliver them (for local candidates)

Is ongoing support provided?

Yes, we offer continuous support to ensure that you receive the personalized care and attention you deserve.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

· We’ll then arrange a free initial assessment at your home to discuss needs and build a personalised care plan

Will I have the same carer every time?

We do our best to ensure continuity of care by assigning regular carers to each client. If there are any changes (e.g. holidays), we’ll always notify you and send someone equally qualified and trained.

What if I have a complaint or concern?

We take all concerns seriously.

What documents do I need to provide?

To register, you will typically need:

 

  • Proof of ID (passport or driving license)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Up-to-date CV

  • Enhanced DBS check

  • Proof of address

  • Two professional references

  • Mandatory training certificates (we can help you get these if needed)

Can I work flexible hours?

Absolutely. Whether you prefer part-time, full-time, nights, weekends, or ad hoc shifts — we accommodate your schedule as best as we can.

Do I need experience to apply?

Some roles require previous healthcare experience, especially with complex needs or nursing duties. However, we also offer entry-level care roles for compassionate individuals with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What locations do you cover?

 We currently cover London borough of Hackney, London borough of Hillingdon and London borough of Ealing. New locations are added regularly — contact us if you’re not sure we cover your area

Certainly, we regularly review and modify the care plans based on your feedback and changing needs to ensure that they remain effective and beneficial.
